When Apathy Is Betrayal
Acrylic, Aluminium, Cement, Flame Resistant Bleached Muslin, Light, Wood
Variable (8ft x 20ft)
2022

A visual concept in collaboration with composer Nirmali Fenn. The object for the stage functions as a curtain to limit the audience’s knowledge of the players, reducing form to light and shadow, enforced by sound and gesture. Reality is obscured, as shadows move on a painted landscape haunted by images of confinement.
